Welcome to the Barrowcliff 'Our Bigger Story' website. This is part of the multi media evaluation of 15 Big Local areas in England. The website is an opportunity to follow what is changing in Barrowcliff as a result of Big Local over a ten year period.
The aim of the website is to share the learning from everything that is happening in Barrowcliff with other Big Local areas and highlight what works in communities with a wider audience of practitioners and policy makers.
Once again, Barrowcliff Big Local was to proud support local resident and Partnership Member, Monica Smith, in her heart-warming community project - Christmas Together 2018. Monica and many local volunteers give up their Christmas Day to host a full day of festivities for local people. Traditionally, the event has been aimed at residents that would usually face Christmas alone, however the invitation has recently been extended to families and those with children that may not be able to afford to celebrate Christmas in this way or to those that simply don't have the means to do so. Over 80 people enjoyed Christmas Day this year, courtesy of Monica and her volunteers.
